Yes. PRONOVA provides service in the UK, subject to the documentation, identification and validation requirements applicable to each issue.
Is the certificate ready on the same day?
In eligible cases, issue may be completed on the same day after the appointment, validation, document approval and all required steps.
What is the difference between A1, A3 and cloud?
A1 is generated and installed on the holder’s computer and is valid for one year. A3 may be generated on a token, card or in the cloud. To generate and use a cloud certificate, the holder must install an application on their smartphone, providing mobility.
Do I need to travel to Brazil?
Not necessarily. Service is available in London, with home appointments subject to availability and conditions.
Can I renew remotely?
For eligible certificates issued by PRONOVA, renewal may be remote, subject to the applicable rules and conditions.

PRONOVA offers ICP-Brasil e-CPF and e-CNPJ certificates, with appointments in London and home appointments subject to availability. Your certificate may be issued on the same day after the appointment, biometric collection and approval of your documentation.
What is an ICP-Brasil Digital Certificate?
It is a digital identity that proves the identity of individuals and companies electronically, with legal validity. It can be used to sign documents, access government services, issue tax documents and perform operations requiring digital identification.
e-CPF is for individuals. e-CNPJ is for companies. ICP-Brasil sets the rules linking a digital signature to the person or company that made it.
What is it used for?
- Legally valid electronic signatures;
- Access to federal government and tax services;
- Issuing or consulting tax documents, as applicable;
- Representing a company in systems requiring a certificate;
- Secure contracts and digital operations.
e-CPF or e-CNPJ?
e-CPF identifies you as an individual for powers of attorney, contracts, tax services, gov.br, notarial services and other personal operations.
e-CNPJ identifies a company for invoices, declarations, eSocial, Conectividade Social, contracts and online business operations.
Available formats
A1: e-CPF or e-CNPJ valid for 1 year, generated and stored on a computer.
A3: e-CPF or e-CNPJ valid for up to 2 years, generated and stored on a USB token or smart card.
Cloud: SerproID e-CPF valid for 1 or 2 years, subject to availability. Ask PRONOVA about requirements.
Important information
Issuance is subject to document review and appointment availability. After issuance, data or the certificate type cannot be changed; any required change means a new certificate and new cost.
Foreign nationals with a Brazilian CPF may also apply, subject to requirements. Home and/or urgent appointments may incur an additional charge. The certificate is ready on the same day after the appointment, validation, biometrics and approval.
Installation and use
After issuance, the certificate must be installed on a computer or, for cloud certificates, on a compatible phone or device. PRONOVA's Installation Department can provide remote support for setup and use.
